Another hidden gem in Reno. You wouldn't know it was a restaurant from the outside bc it's tucked into a corner at a small shopping center. However, we were pleasantly surprised and so glad we gave it a try. The place was hopping with happy customers and wonderful staff. They created a great ambiance with creative metal bead dividers, separating the bar from the restaurant. The food was fantastic. We enjoyed the lamb lollipops, surf n turf deep fried rolls, Cesar salad, and the cheesecake desert special. We also sampled many creative cocktails, and chose our favorites but they were all great. The staff helped each other by serving appetizers and the main dishes. Our main server checked in with us consistently throughout the entire visit with enthusiasm and helpful suggestions, as we kept adding drinks and food to our meal. Overall, fantastic!

Came here for happy hour before meeting friends for dinner. They had an extensive selection of wines by the glass and cocktails, and a decent list of drafts (many of which are local). Happy hour runs daily, which I always appreciate. The space is fairly large with an upscale design. It was somewhat dark inside the bar area, but felt appropriate (intimate, comfortable). Our bartender wasn't the most attentive, but she did welcome us not too long after we sat and was friendly. I believe she was new, possibly her first day or week so I'm not really judging service this round. I'd like to come back for food, it's been recommended by friends and there appear to be a lot of seafood options (for a pescatarian) as well as gluten-free options!

Great service and wonderful ambiance! It's really pretty inside so it would be great for a lunch or a date night. I dined in for a late lunch and had the fish tacos. They weren't bad but I did find them lacking in flavor. That won't keep me away though. I'll definitely be back to try a new dish as I loved the atmosphere and I it server was incredibly friendly.

Bistro 7 offered an outstanding dining experience that I can't wait to repeat! The moment we walked in, the cozy and welcoming ambiance immediately set the mood. The lighting was warm, and the atmosphere had just the right balance of energy and intimacy, making it perfect for a relaxing evening out. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our meal special. We started with the crispy calamari and a small clam chowder. The calamari was a standout--golden, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. The texture was spot-on, tender on the inside and delightfully crunchy on the outside, with a tangy dipping sauce that elevated every bite. The clam chowder was creamy and flavorful, packed with fresh clams and perfectly seasoned for a comforting start to the meal. For the main courses, my husband ordered the ahi tuna poke, and it was a showstopper. The cubed sushi-grade yellowfin tuna was fresh and beautifully paired with sesame oil, sesame seeds, and a guacamole mix that had just the right hint of spice from serrano peppers and green onions. The wonton chips for scooping added a fun and crunchy element, and the wasabi and sriracha sauces balanced the dish with heat and tang. As for me, I opted for the classic fillet steak, cooked medium rare as I requested. It was prepared beautifully--juicy, tender, and full of flavor, with just the right amount of sear on the outside. Paired with garlicky mashed potatoes, which were creamy, buttery, and rich with a perfect hint of garlic, the dish felt hearty and indulgent. My Moscow Mule was another highlight--refreshing, crisp, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of ginger kick. It tied the meal together beautifully. The prices felt fair for the quality of food, presentation, and overall experience. Bistro 7 clearly prioritizes attention to detail and customer satisfaction, and it shows in every aspect of the meal. Between the delicious food, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere, Bistro 7 is easily one of the best dining spots in the area. I highly recommend it for any occasion, and we'll definitely be returning to explore more of their menu!

I met up with friends last night at this restaurant. It was t a busy evening for them but the vibe was still positive We ordered various appetizers and some wine. The surf and turf sushi roll didn't disappoint. We also ordered the calamari, deviled eggs and meatballs. All delicious. The flourless chocolate torte was amazing!

I've noticed this restaurant a long time ago since it is tucked down the side of the road going down South Virginia. I was finally able to try it a few days ago and now it will stay on my list of restaurants to return to. The ambiance is a bit more upscale, but is still laid-back for jeans or a casual look. The upscale vibe translates to their dishes as well. They offer classic steaks such as filet mignon and ribeyes, but they also have several bison dishes which I found unique. I had the White Truffle Shells n Cheese without any of the toppings. This is the fancy adult version of Mac and cheese, which I found not too overwhelming like other truffle dishes. It was perfectly balanced with the creamy cheese. However the additional toppings can go as high as an additional $9 for chopped chicken, which is why I opted out. We also had a classic pizza which was large and perfect for sharing. One thing that makes Bistro 7 special from many is that they use local ingredients in their dishes to maintain the freshness and quality. Knowing this, I'm tempted to try the bison dishes next time.

It was Christmas Eve, and the place was packed, so my expectations weren't high. On top of that, we were about 45 minutes early due to an unexpectedly brief church service. Teresa, the manager, went out of her way to seat us despite our designated table being occupied. Service got off to a slow start due to the rush, but Sarah picked up the ball and service was great. Food, as always was outstanding - steak frites was a preparation I'd not had before, and my wife's salmon and my daughter's ono were both excellent. Overall, a great experience. Despite the crowd, it was not noisy and ambiance was warm and great as always.

We didn't have reservations and they took our party of seven right away! Beautiful and warm environment. A little loud with the background noise but we still had a great time and enjoyed a few appetizers like deviled eggs, Brie potstickers and margarita !

Good food. Good wine. Good space. They have a good happy hour for food, cocktails, and wine. The items alternate on different days, but any day is a good time. I really appreciated the size of their wine list. There were a lot of options and a few of my favorites. And the staff were really nice and attentive, and they made sure we were offered a wide selection of treats.
